SWC admits students of any race, creed, and national or ethnic origin. To be admitted under regular college admission requirements, a prospective student must possess a high school diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>SWC Admission Check List<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Please have the following documents with you when you come to campus to test\/register for classes.<\/p>\n<p>______ Completed Admission Application<\/p>\n<p>______ Certification of Indian Blood (Tribal Enrollment)<\/p>\n<p>______ Social Security Card<\/p>\n<p>______ High School\/GED <strong><u>Official<\/u><\/strong> Transcript<\/p>\n<p>______ Any\/all <strong><u>Official <\/u><\/strong>College Transcript(s)<\/p>\n<p>______ Accuplacer Test may need to be taken before registering for classes.<\/p>\n<p>The Accuplacer test may take 1 -2 hours. To schedule a time to take the test you can contact Tia Topoluk at 605-742-1127 or email <a href=\"mailto:ttopoluk@swcollege.edu\">ttopoluk@swcollege.edu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Please take care of this at your earliest convenience, as your student file needs to be complete with all of the above. <strong>An <u>official<\/u> transcript<\/strong> is a transcript that reaches The Admissions Office in a sealed envelope from the issuing institution, and the enclosed transcript must be printed on the institution\u2019s official transcript paper and bear the institution\u2019s seal and signature from the registrar or another authorized individual designated by the institution\u2019s executive leadership. SWC accepts electronic versions of college transcripts sent from colleges through transcript services like Parchment or Naviance sent directly to the school. Transcripts sent to the students and then forwarded to the school are not accepted. All new students, as well as transfer students and former students who have not met the English or mathematics requirements, are required to take assessment tests. Former students who attended SWC within the last two years are not required to retake the assessment tests. Books will not be refundable if opened or written in.
